Trinity Sunday, May 30 & 31
Trinity Sunday
May 30 & 31
On this solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity,
the focus is not so much on who the three Persons of the Trinity are but rather
on who we are as God’s people in relation to the Holy Trinity. For God has sought us out and saved us through
Jesus Christ, and given us a Spirit of adoption, so that we might call on God’s
name. Let us pray today in thanksgiving
for this wonderful gift of the love of God, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

Pentecost Sunday
As we gather today for
this celebration of Pentecost Sunday, we
celebrate that the Spirit of the Lord descends with God’s sevenfold gifts of
wisdom, and understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, reverence and
wonder. Let us all take the time to
listen to the urgings of the Holy Spirit, and pray in gratitude for all that
God has done and will yet do through His Church, God’s Holy People.

Ascension of the Lord / 7th Sunday of Easter
May 16 & 17
Celebration of the Ascension of the Lord
7th Sunday of Easter
The readings from
today show us the mission that Jesus left for each of us. The first reading and the Gospel tell the
story of the ascension into heaven of Jesus.
The message is clear for all of us left both at the time of Christ and
today. Jesus said, “Go into the whole
world and proclaim the gospel to every creature…” The call to each of us is one of humility,
gentleness and bearing with one another as we do our part to proclaim the Word
of God in our lives.
