Most Holy Trinity

On this Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we should give ourselves time to be renewed in our relationship with the three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  We need to grow in our desires for a greater openness to the graces that each person offers us. St. Paul tells us that through the power of the Holy Spirit, the love of God is poured into our hearts. We pray that this feast will bring us all a renewal in the graces we need as well as the desire to enjoy the very personal gift of God's love for each of us.

Pentecost Sunday

On this final Sunday of the Eater season, we celebrate what some call the “birthday of the church.”  In fire and wind the Spirit of the Lord descended with the seven-fold gifts of wisdom, understanding, right judgment, courage, knowledge, reverence and wonder.    Let us pray today that the promise of the church on this celebration day of its birth, may continue to be realized in each of us as we attend to the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives.                              - Deacon Jim

7^th Sunday of Easter

Celebrate the Ascension of the Lord

Today we are reminded that we live in a time between Christ’s first coming and His Second coming.  Between the Ascension of Christ and the second coming at the end of times we all have work to do.  It is up to each one of us to continue the mission that Christ has given us for His Church.  While we often focus on the priest as the center of our faith community, we are once again reminded that it is each one of us as members of the Body of Christ, here on earth, that need to step forward, take the lead and continue the mission of faith and love in our homes, (The Domestic Church) as well as our communities, our parishes and the world we live it.
