Thirty-second Sunday
in Ordinary Time
Over the past few
weeks we have heard scriptures that have encouraged us to serve others and give
completely of ourselves to follow Christ.
This weekend, Jesus encounters a concrete example of such selfless
giving in the widow at the temple. As we
move through our celebration today from Word to Sacrament to action in the coming
weeks, perhaps we can learn something from the widow who “contributed all she
had.”
