Today we heard the Lord Jesus issue a new
commandment. Just as He has loved us,
so we are to love one another. Pope Francis stated that the Church’s
credibility is completely dependent on our showing merciful and compassionate
love for others. How are we doing with
this commandment in our own parish, our own community, our own families? “This is how all will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another” (John 13:35) - Deacon Jim
